1,1-Di(Tert-Amylperoxy) Cyclohexane 80% 15667-10-4

DTAC may be used as an initiator for the polymerization of styrene. DTAC is a difunctional peroxide. Under equivalent reaction conditions, polymerization times may be reduced by as much as 10% when compared to those generated by monofunctional peroxides with the same activity.
Trigonox® 122-C80 can be successfully applied as an initiator for the (co)polymerization of low density ethylene. Trigonox® 122-C80 may also be used as an initiator for the (co)polymerization of acrylonitrile, acrylates and methacrylates.

    Applications

DTAC peroxide, also known as Di-tert-amyl peroxide, is commonly used as a radical initiator in the polymerization of various monomers. It is particularly suitable for the curing of unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins, leading to the production of composite materials, coatings, and adhesives. Additionally, it can be used in the production of thermoset plastics and elastomers. DTAC peroxide finds applications in the manufacturing of polymer-based products where the initiation of radical polymerization is required. It is known for its ability to initiate the cross-linking and polymerization processes, contributing to the formation of strong and durable polymer materials.
